RIVER OAK DENTAL Operating Procedure Updates
As we begin to treat our patients again, following the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to inform you of some significant changes you will notice before, and during, your appointments at River Oak Dental.
Every appointment must be confirmed at least 2 business days in advance
Following the extended closure, there is a very high demand for many clinically urgent procedures, and in order to get everyone back to optimal dental health, we cannot afford to lose a single minute of the day. Unconfirmed appointment slots will be made available to patients in urgent need of treatment.
Additionally, these new requirements mean that we need to dedicate more time and set up expenses for each appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience this new policy may create and hope you understand that its implementation is for the health and safety of our patients.
Virtual Patient Reception Room
As you have confirmed your appointment in advance, we know you are coming and you may wait in your car before your appointment. We will simply give you a call to let you know that we are ready to get started! Upon entry, you will be walked to your treatment room and we will be able to start your procedures immediately. This prevents you from having to wait inside the building and minimizes your exposure to others.
Only patients with appointments may enter the reception area
Due to the new social distancing requirements, our reception area can only accommodate 2 people at a time. We kindly ask that anyone accompanying you to your appointment wait in the car, we are happy to call them when your appointment is over.
*Exceptions will be made for minors and when medically necessary.
Separate treatment days for High-Risk patients
If you are in a demographic that is considered high-risk (click here to view the CDC classifications), please inform us as soon as possible so that we can accommodate you. We will do our best to reach out proactively if we know you fall into one of these categories.
Implementing new precautionary measures and safety protocols
We are doing A LOT to keep everyone safe during your appointment. When you come to the office you will see new equipment and protective barriers, we are also training our team extensively to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
In fact, just the summary document is 9 pages long, you can read it here: click to view the River Oak Dental COVID-19 Safety Protocol.
Patient Screening
If you are experiencing any symptoms of the Coronavirus, such as fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste, or exposure to an infected individual, please call the office so that we can reschedule your appointment to a time when you are well.
We will also be screening and taking the temperature of each patient here in the office.
