The health and safety of our patients, staff, and families have always been our first priority. In addition to everything we do as part of our normal operations and updated Operating Procedure, we are continually investing in new and upgraded dental safety technology. Below are some highlights of technologies we have implemented to add further protection from COVID-19 as well as other viruses, bacteria, and allergens.
Isolite Dental isolation and aerosol reduction
During routine dental procedures the tools used by the dentist and hygienist, such as ultrasonic scalers, high-speed handpieces, etc., cause some spatter and aerosols to be generated. The "spray" from dental tools and rinsing contains particles of water and can also carry viruses, bacteria, and saliva. At River Oak Dental, we take extensive measures to capture and safely contain aerosols.
